Newcastle Building Society Launches New Fixed-Rate Mortgages 08/12/2005

Three new mortgages have been launched by Newcastle Building Society covering a range of fixed-rate deals.

The advantage of a fixed-rate mortgage is so you know exactly how much you will have to pay each month so you can budget more easily.

The Newcastle fixed-rate mortgages are available for two, three and five-year terms and are for the same 4.54 per cent interest rate.

Newcastle says the fixed-rate offers means customers can pick the most suitable term.

Newcastle's assistant general manager Steve Urwin said: “These mortgages can be chosen according to the circumstances of the customer.

"If someone is happy to fix for five years they will be on the same rate as someone only fixed for two."

The three Newcastle fixed rate mortgages are only differentiated by their completion fee and redemption charges, the building society added.

More details are available from Newcastle Building Society.
