Sheilas’ Wheels – New Cheaper Car Insurance Deals For Women 24/10/2005
A new car insurance brand aims to cut costs for women and provide female friendly services into the bargain.
Sheilas’ Wheels was launched this month featuring a lively advertising campaign including the sassy Sheilas’ Wheels singing trio.
In an aim to corner the lucrative female car market the company is offering added customer service and special deals for women drivers.
Sheilas’ Wheels, a division of esure.com, has £300 handbag and contents cover if a bag is stolen from customers’ cars plus 24 hour counselling lines for female drivers suffering emotional problems on the road.
It also claims a network of specially trained female-friendly repair outfits.
As well as the impressive services on display the firm’s launch has not done the brand much harm either – the smart advertising features a trio of lively Australian ladies - dressed in bright pink!
Esure's Australian-themed car insurance brand cleverly plays on the derogatory tone of that ‘Aussie’ expression for women: Sheila.
Instead of dumbing down Sheilas’ Wheels identifies its customers as clever and deserving of a better deal.
Sheilas’ Wheels Chairman Peter Wood says:
“This is a market that is growing rapidly and ripe for a major shake-up.
“Prices are not what they should be for women given their proven superiority in terms of safety and responsibility behind the wheel.”
Sheilas’ Wheels products and services are available to women drivers in mainland England, Scotland and Wales.
