New Flood Map To Cut House Insurance Premiums 10/10/2004

The Environmental Agency publised its new flood map this week which will be used by the insurance companies to calculate house insurance premiums. About 5 million people living in around 2 million properties in England and Wales are currently living in flood risk areas.

The new more detailed information should allow insurers to cut premiums for those people living in flood prone areas but whose properties do not get flooded. It should also prove useful for people wishing to protect there home from floods
