Irish Police Seize Bank Notes 18/02/2005

Irish Police have seized more than £2m and arrested seven people whilst investigating a possible link with the £26m Northern Bank robbery in Belfast.
The cash including £60,000 in Northern Bank notes was seized as part of an investigation into money laundering.

Whilst it is understood one of those being questioned is a former Sinn Fein elected representative, it has not been confirmed if the raids are connected to the Northern robbery.
